Dr. Vivek Agrawal is one of the most distinguished neurosurgeons in Nagpur and Central India, renowned for his expertise in complex brain, spine, and peripheral nerve surgeries. With over a decade of rich clinical experience, he has emerged as a trusted name in neurosurgery across Vidarbha and neighboring regions.
Dr. Agrawal completed his MBBS in Nagpur, earning distinctions in multiple subject. His academic excellence was further reflected when he secured a Good rank in the All India PG Entrance Examination. He pursued his MS. in General Surgery at the prestigious NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, where he gained a strong foundation in surgical principles and techniques.
His neurosurgical journey continued with an M.Ch in Neurosurgery from B.J. Medical College & Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad-One of India’s busiest and most advanced neurosurgical centers. Here, he trained with state-of-the-art technology including the Karl Zeiss Pentero microscope, Karl Storz Endoscope, CUSA and Brain Lab Neuro-navigation system, participating in over 200 complex brain and spine surgeries each month. This intensive training shaped his surgical precision and clinical acumen.
To enhance his focus on minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Agrawal pursued a Fellowship in Neuroendoscopy and completed a certified course in Endoscopic Spine Surgery, reflecting his commitment to delivering safer, cosmetically better, and less invasive surgical outcomes.
Dr. Agrawal has successfully performed more than 5,000 neurosurgical procedures, encompassing brain tumors, vascular pathologies, spinal disorders, head and spine trauma and pediatric neurosurgery. He has also served in academic roles as an Assistant Professor at PT. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Raipur, and Government Medical College, Nagpur, contributing to neurosurgical education and research.
For the past ten years, he has been leading private neurosurgical practice in Nagpur, serving as the Chief Consultant Neurosurgeon at reputed institutions like Seven Star Hospital and VIMS Hospital.
In 2023, Dr. Agrawal took a pioneering step by establishing his own 40-bedded state-of-the-art neurosurgical center in central Nagpur. The center offers 24×7 emergency services for neurotrauma, stroke, spinal injuries, and other critical conditions as well as elective work like brain tumours, vascular pathologies, different neuralgias and pituitary tumours. Under his leadership, the facility has grown into a hub for advanced neurosurgical care, backed by a robust intensive care unit led by Dr. Neha Agrawal, a prominent intensivist.
An accomplished academician, Dr. Agrawal has contributed to various national and international conferences through research papers, case presentations, and poster sessions. His center continue to evolve with plans for further expansion, aimed at meeting the growing neurosurgical demands of Central India at an affordable Rates.
